Actively Supporting Students

Ram Run LogoThe 38th Annual Ram Run took place on September 12, 2020. The Ram Run is a 5k and one-mile run that has been part of the Hastings Campus culture for 38 years. This event takes place on the second Saturday in September and has a regular following. The challenge this year was creating a running experience that was comfortable for everyone. This led to an opportunity for participants to register for the virtual option, which allowed them to complete the run when it was convenient for them and at any location. The participants who ran in person were able to walk or run the route around the Hastings campus. Medals were awarded to finishers with the top times in the one-mile and 5k overall categories along with medals for those who finished first, second and third in their age groups. The proceeds of the Ram Run go towards scholarships for students attending the Hastings Campus. Mark your calendars for this family-friendly run happening this year on September 11, 2021.

The 30th Annual 91做厙 Foundation Pro-Am took place on September 14, 2020, at Lochland Country Club in Hastings. The Pro-Am began back in 1990 to raise scholarship money for students and rotates through Hastings, Columbus, Grand Island, and new in 2021, Kearney. The tournament is well attended and sponsored by businesses from all over Nebraska. The Pro-Am success relies on the generosity of sponsors and the students are the winners. In 2020, more than $27,000 was raised for scholarships for students attending the Hastings Campus. This year, the proceeds will fund scholarships at the Kearney Center. So, save the date, September 13, at Awarii Dunes.
